These days, just having a website built years ago, often by a friend-of-a-friend when you started up, isn’t doing your business any favours. Are you looking to develop and grow your business, to win new customers and provide great ongoing service to your existing customers? If the answer is “Yes”, then read on!
Whether you are a local, regional or national business, in order to be found by new customers, you need to appear high in the Google Search Results when people search for your products and services online.
A number of things are critical to achieving this. Whilst it’s impossible to talk about each one in detail in this short article, we’ll give you an idea.
Firstly, you need a Responsive Website (one that scales automatically to fit a smartphone and a tablet). It also needs to be mobile-friendly – easy to use on a mobile. It should load quickly, and be secure – encrypting all data being entered into Contact Forms. The content needs to be well written, relevant and interesting – and written first and foremost for the human reader. If they rate it, Google will see that it is relevant and this will help to rank your website higher. Having said that, the content and images must also be optimised for search engines.
Backlinks & Citations (“Mentions”)
Then, you need to be sure that your Website and Business are listed accurately and consistently on quality listings and other websites. These days, effective search engine optimisation (SEO) is about Quality not Quantity.
Customer Reviews & Social Media
Reviews are more important now than ever before – we all check online to see what previous customers have said… so managing and displaying your Online Reviews is key.
Also making the most of the appropriate Social Media channels for your type of business and customers can help so much – and can be very cost-effective. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn etc. We can help!
Your Company Image
And finally, your company image, including your logo and business stationery. It’s essential to present your business in a way that communicates what you do and how you do business – your values. Below are some new logo designs we have created recently for local Clients.
