Gathering Your Website Content
When you choose WDSEO for your New Website, whether that be the Small Business Website, a Shopify Website or a Bespoke Website Design, we will use a user-friendly online system called Content Snare to gather all of the information we require from you. (This avoids the hassle of lots of emails and enables you and us to keep track of where we are and what information is still needed!)
This will include information about each of your services, company history, business details, such as contact methods, opening hours, social media, any accreditations, memberships or certifications you may have, and client testimonials. In order to satisfy Google’s requirements, we will need to write at least 300 words on each of your service pages.
Our Collaborative Process
Think of it like a collaboration – the more information you provide us – the better we can understand your business and inform your potential clients about your services. They want to know what you do, who you do it for, and why they should choose you. All this can really help with SEO. We don’t want to make assumptions about your business, when we can just as easily take it from you. After all, you are the expert in your field, and you know what you’re talking about!
All of this must be in your own words (please no AI!) – don’t worry, bullet points are absolutely fine; our professional copywriters will do all the writing and SEO-optimising of the copy for you.
You’ll also have the opportunity to let us know the priority order of the services you want to be found for and where you want to be found.
Images for Your New Website
Additionally, you’ll have the option to send your images. Wherever possible, your own images are better, as search engines prefer these, and it builds trust with your clients. (Preferably in landscape and a minimum of 1,200px wide.) However, if you don’t have any of your own images, we can use high-quality stock images, which we will source for you.
Getting Your Website Project Started
Before we start your New Website project, we’ll have a Kick-Off Meeting, either by Zoom or in-person, if you are local. There, we’ll have the chance to introduce ourselves, discuss deadlines, expected dates for things, and your project’s scope. If you don’t think you can reach those deadlines, please just let us know so we can reschedule things accordingly.
When you’re filling in your Content Snare forms – don’t worry, we won’t leave you in the dark!
